NINTH LIT

• Students did their DGP, finding clauses and sentence type.
• We then did an autobiographical activity, looking at ourselves and our lives.
• This was then used to read biographies of various historical individuals such as Rosa Parks, Helen Keller, and Barack Obama.  This will be continued in class.
• REMINDER: Students need to get a copy of "A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier" by Ishmael Beah AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

AMERICAN LIT

• Students did their DGP, finding clauses and sentence type.
• We then read Emerson's "Nature," taking notes and annotating as we read.
• This was used in working on a packet of Transcendentalist worksheets.
